Overview
The Vaststar ON-6000 oxygen/nitrogen analyzer provides wide-range, high-precision measurement of oxygen and nitrogen in metals and inorganic materials. The pulse furnace heats a graphite crucible to 2000–3000 °C; nitrogen is released, while oxygen combines with the crucible carbon to form CO and CO₂. Oxygen is determined by CO₂ infrared absorption at 4.26 µm; nitrogen is determined by thermal conductivity.
